In Falsus system requirements overview — minimum specs table with Steam Deck and laptop compatibility notes

Can my PC run In Falsus? Compare it with the official minimum: Intel i5-7500, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980, 8 GB RAM and Windows 10 64-bit. Below are the current In Falsus system requirements from the Steam store page, plus clearly labeled community reports for Steam Deck and Linux.

Last verified against the Steam store API: August 25, 2026.

The recommended section currently contains no detailed hardware targets. That does not lower the published minimum: a GTX 980-class GPU is explicitly listed.

What that means in practice

  • Do not assume integrated graphics are enough. Steam lists a GTX 980 as the minimum GPU. Test the demo on your exact machine and treat the result as an indicator, not a guarantee for the larger full release.
  • 8 GB RAM is the real floor. Close memory-hungry browser tabs before long sessions if you're at exactly 8 GB.
  • Storage: reserve at least 10 GB for the September 9 release.
  • Frame rate matters more than visuals. In a rhythm game, stable frame pacing beats raw resolution. If your machine is old, cap the frame rate and lower background effects in settings before blaming input lag.
  • Use the demo as a practical check. The free demo can expose obvious compatibility or frame-pacing problems, but lowiro has not promised identical full-release performance.

Laptop checklist

  1. Plug in power — battery mode can cap CPU/GPU clocks and introduce stutter during dense note sections
  2. Close overlays (Discord, recording software) if you see dropped frames on FIELD notes
  3. Check your audio setup: high sample rates (32-bit/192 kHz) have caused launch issues — see the no sound fix
  4. If keys don't register together, that's usually keyboard ghosting, not the game — see keys not working

Steam Deck & Linux

There is no Deck Verified status and no native Linux build, but the community runs both through Proton:

  • Steam Deck: playable with GE-Proton 10-32 or 11-1 (ProtonUp-Qt). Stock Proton can break intro video; no gamepad mapping exists, so plan for keyboard + touchpad. Full walkthrough: In Falsus on Steam Deck
  • Desktop Linux: same GE-Proton advice applies; check ProtonDB for your distro

Mac

No macOS version exists or has been announced. Options for Mac users:

  • Boot Camp on older Intel Macs (Apple Silicon Macs cannot Boot Camp)
  • Stream from a Windows PC (Steam Remote Play / Moonlight)
  • Wait — but don't hold your breath; lowiro's PC releases to date have been Windows + Steam only
