Ghost Ray ULT, beam by beam
Ghost Ray — Qlarabelle & crayvxn's Tokyo Hard Dance entry — is the volume wall of In Falsus's ULT ladder: an ULTIMATE 8 chart carrying 1,076 notes, more than Hyaloüyne's level 10, wrapped in diagonal slabs that climb across the whole field. This walkthrough follows MabiAlcase's FULL LINK run frame by frame, with Outoki's hands-off chart view as the cautionary tale.

Read the shelf: ULTIMATE 8, 1,076 notes
Ghost Ray's ULT chart sits at ULTIMATE 8 — but the shelf number hides the real cost. This is the note-count wall of the launch ULT charts: 1,076 notes at 175 BPM, more than Hyaloüyne's level 10. The song card also advertises its harsher sibling: Ghost Ray FBD, level 10 with 1,484 notes, the densest chart in the game.

Start from the finish line
This is the run the page walks toward: EX+ at 097'827'412 under the FULL LINK banner, MAX LINK 1076 — every note in the chart still linked. The judgment row tells the story: 1,033 + 29 EXACT, 14 NEAR, zero BREAK. FULL LINK does not demand perfection, it demands survival: the moment a note leaves the chain, the banner is gone. Even the card's MISS HP 13 is just the toll of those 14 NEARs.

Opening: six lanes, two beams, one resting cursor
- 3
One hand, six lanes, no excuses
The playfield spells its lanes out — SHIFT · A · S · D · F · SPACE — and at 000'000'000 nothing is moving yet, the last calm moment of the chart. Park the thumb on Space, the pinky on Shift, and let the three middle fingers own A, S and D. Ghost Ray's diagonals will drag the cursor across the entire field; the keyboard hand must not budge.

SHIFT · A · S · D · F · SPACE — settle the hand before note one.Watch the source clip - 4
The twin beams open the song — and return to close it
The first signature arrives at once: two cyan field beams pouring down the middle lanes side by side, an EXACT printed under each. Learn them here, because the same motif reprises deep in the back half. The beams are Field geometry — rest the cursor between them and let both settle at once, instead of chasing each one on its own.

The first long slab sets the Field rule
Barely twenty notes in, the chart sends its first extended slab curving down the centre lanes. Field notes are areas, not targets: put the cursor on the path the head will travel, hold still, and let the tick trail stamp EXACT underneath. Chasing the edge is how NEARs are born.

Park on the path — the slab does the moving.Watch the source clip
Midchart: diagonals, staircases and wide panels
- 6
Split the job: the cursor glides, a finger holds
A third of the way in, Ghost Ray shows its real trick: a long cyan beam sweeping diagonally from the top left while a yellow hexagon hold feeds on the keyboard lanes below. The beam's angle stays constant, so pre-decide the path and glide; the hold takes one finger and no attention. Two limbs, two jobs, no overlap.

The staircase is the song's signature
Around the halfway mark the chart plants its trademark: a purple slab climbing from the bottom-left corner across the whole field, EXACTs stacking at its base as it rises. The play is patience — set the cursor at the foot of the stairs, let the slab climb through it, and resist the urge to ride ahead of the head.

Wait at the base; let the staircase climb through you.Watch the source clip - 8
Wide panels want your centre of mass
The back half opens with broad rectangular panels sliding across the middle lanes, framed by a yellow flick wedge on one side and a green triangle on the other. A panel this wide covers three lanes at once — stand where it passes over you and spend the spare motion on the flicks, never on the slab.

What the brackets are telling you
Outoki's hands-off chart view makes the Field's contract visible: white corner brackets frame the capture zone each wide panel wants to occupy. In this render nobody is home — the BREAK counter in the corner climbs past 1,200. The brackets are the game telling you where the cursor must already be when the panel arrives.

Brackets mark the catch zone; the chart view never shows up.Watch the source clip
The last hundred notes, and what failure teaches
- 10
The climax is one crossing, not two beams
Past note 1,000 the finale sends a curved purple beam across the twin cyan lanes, and this frame catches the intersection: three EXACTs on one sparkling line. The whole section is decided at that crossing point — everything before it is positioning, everything after is recovery. Move at the crossing, nowhere else.

The last wall covers the whole field
At 1,049 of 1,076 notes, a full-width purple triangle spans every lane at once. There is no side to escape to — pick the centre of the panel, make the smallest corrections that keep the sparkling edge alive, and hold. Twenty-seven notes later, the chart is over.

The same chart, abandoned
Outoki's render ends the way every neglected dive ends: DIVE FAILED at 019'052'250, every keyboard note broken, D rank on the card. Set it beside the EX+ run at the top of this page — same chart, same 1,076 notes, and a seventy-eight-million-point gap made entirely of input. The cursor field forgives even less than the keyboard does.

FAQ
What level is Ghost Ray ULT?
Ghost Ray's ULT chart is rated ULTIMATE 8 — 1,076 notes across six keys at 175 BPM. The song also carries an FBD chart, level 10 with 1,484 notes, which is the densest chart in In Falsus.
Is Ghost Ray ULT hard?
Level 8 sits below the ULT 10 boss charts, but the note count is the catch: 1,076 notes is more than Hyaloüyne ULT 10 (1,061) and far more than Cryogenic ULT 9 (980). The rating understates the stamina and the diagonal reading this chart demands.
How do I pass the double diagonal section?
The finale crossing around the 2:30 mark of the source run is decided at the intersection, not along the beams. Before the crossing, position the cursor on the path of one beam; move only where the two geometries meet, and let the EXACTs print — step 10's frame shows the crossing mid-contact.
What does FULL LINK require on Ghost Ray ULT?
Zero BREAK — all 1,076 notes stay linked, but NEARs do not break the chain. The filmed run kept FULL LINK with 14 NEARs on the card. Any BREAK snaps the link, which is why the wide panels and the finale crossing decide most runs.
What score do you need for EX+ on Ghost Ray ULT?
The filmed run cleared EX+ at 097'827'412 — with FULL LINK and 14 NEARs. Note that EX+ is not one fixed scoreline across charts: Cryogenic's filmed EX+ landed at 99'082'509 on its 980-note chart, while Ghost Ray clears below that despite 96 more notes. Hunt the NEAR count down and the grade follows.
