   Read the song card first

   The SELECT SONG screen states the whole contract: Mémoire by Zekk sits in the Every Moment arc with MIN 4, EVO 7, ULT 11 and the red FBD 13 tab selected. Below, the CONNECT entry Path Without Ambition shows difficulty rating 100, a FAILED badge and a best encounter score of 000'006'400 from the last attempt — this chart is fought as a duel, not a solo dive.

   Build the CONNECT loadout

   Before the dive, the CONNECT screen lines up the duel: MEI on the left, IO on the right, five cards between them — Close to You, Last Day of Summer, Austere Advisor, An Aberrant Freedom, New Friend. The lead card's 4,007/5,930 stats feed the MAX POTENCY 177 shown on the previous screen, and the key hints A S D F already glow under the deck.

   

Opening: the gauges start full, then BREAKs bite

   Launch the dive and read the HUD

   The highway opens empty at Note Speed 6.00. The top-right card pins Mémoire, Zekk, FBD 13; MEI carries 26,116/25,695 voltage against IO's 3,200/3,100, both at a full 100 percent, with PHASE 0 in the corner. Shift, A, S, D, F and Space label the six input zones — the first violet slab is already sliding in from the top.

   Expect the first BREAKs early

   The first real phrases already bleed: BREAK tags sit at the judgment line while a pink hold rises on the right, the encounter score ticks to 107, and the red −15 salvage marker appears up top. MEI's gauge slips to 95.5 percent — on FBD 13 the duel punishes every miss twice, once in score and once in gauge.

   Read the slanted beams by angle

   Mémoire's signature motion arrives: wide beams that lean across the lanes instead of falling straight. One violet slant crosses a light-blue hold near the center while BREAK text stacks at the line — score 001'129'576, encounter 1'341. Read the lean, not the note heads; the columns it lands on decide the hand move.

   Flag the left edge, hold the center

   PHASE 2 opens with a highway-wide cyan hold and two yellow pennant markers flagging the left lane, the second deck card Last Day of Summer live on the rail. The center band eats the attention while the real work happens at the edge — a split-attention pattern this chart keeps re-testing.

   Climb the stepped slabs

   A pink slab arrives in steps across the right-center columns while a narrow blue band runs the middle — score 002'449'417, MEI down to 75.1 percent, the third card Austere Advisor rotating in. Slabs like this force a hand re-position mid-phrase, which is exactly where this run's BREAKs piled up.

   Bank EXACTs under BREAK pressure

   The long violet beam on the right proves the hands still score: EXACT EXACT lands with a sparkle trail and the combo climbs past 145 — while a BREAK shows on the left half a second later. Score 003'619'471. On FBD 13 the ceiling and the floor sit one lane apart.

   Survive the PHASE 4 sweep

   PHASE 4 sends a long pink beam hugging the left lanes under a full row of BREAK labels, and the fourth card An Aberrant Freedom takes the rail. Score 004'804'624, encounter 5'794, MEI's gauge at 60.4 percent. From here, every gauge recovery matters more than any single judgment.

   Guard the gauge in PHASE 5

   The final phase opens with a highway-wide cyan hold and the fifth card New Friend in play — score 006'453'270, encounter 7'011, but MEI's duel share is down to 48.1 percent. The tug-of-war bar is the real health bar: once IO owns it, the dive ends no matter how many notes remain.

   Read the DIVE FAILED banner honestly

   The highway empties, the score freezes at 007'065'624, and the DIVE FAILED banner drops across the field — the CONNECT duel is lost, and that is this page's lesson: a first run at FBD 13 usually is not a clear. Retry is one input away; the result card on the next step says what to fix.

   Turn the result card into a plan

   The card breaks the run down: EXACT 150, EXACT 0, NEAR 0, BREAK 1,973 — grade D, MAX LINK 6, MISS SALVAGE −15, encounter result 000'007'675 FAILED at 43.09 percent.
