Know the chart before you dive

   Read the card: ULTIMATE 8, 1040 notes

   The dive opens with the HUD telling the whole story: the song card pins Ordirehv by Feryquitous at ULT 8 with scroll speed 2.50, the six keyboard lanes sit labelled Shift A S D F Space, and both Connect gauges start at full. Nothing about this chart is a reading trick — it is a stamina-and-timing test at 190 BPM, and the note-counter watermark waiting at the end reads 1040.

   

Opening: bank the EXACTs before the beams lean in

   The first burst already charges NEAR tax

   Barely ten seconds in, a green tick stream criss-crosses the A and S lanes and the frame catches the run's first mistake: one NEAR sitting between EXACTs while gold sparks still burst. NEARs are half-value notes — the FULL LINK run finishes with 19 of them, the Perfect Dive run with zero. Finding where the first one lands is where the cleanup starts.

   Take the first wide beam as one gesture

   The opening's first wide violet beam tilts in from the Shift side across the keyboard lanes. The play is the same as it will be for the whole chart: cover the beam edge and the taps beneath it in a single motion, and the judgments stack — three EXACTs hold here while the combo watermark ticks past 171.

   Straight beams reward standing still

   This violet beam pours straight down the A and S lanes toward the judgment line. There is nothing to chase: plant the hand, let the head arrive, take the EXACT. Over-movement is how note heads get missed at 190 BPM, and straight beams like this one are where that discipline pays.

   

Midchart: sweeps, panels and a Perfect Dive comparison

   Horizontal sweeps want a planted wrist

   Midchart turns golden: a wide horizontal beam sweeps across the Shift and A lanes while four EXACT judgments line up in a row at combo 469. Sweeps like this travel further than they look — the fix is a planted wrist with a small tracked motion, not a swing across the desk.

   The same corridor, played Perfect-Dive clean

   Seventeen notes later in flipster's run — combo 486 against hitorise's 469 — the same stretch of Ordirehv asks for a purple hold panel riding the D and F lanes while the cursor keeps the line.    Cluster-hop the twin streams

   The back half stacks twin white-cyan streams across the A and S lanes with gold sparks detonating on every landing. The three middle fingers shuttle between the ASD and SDF clusters while the purple cursor triangle takes its own lane — the EXACT EXACT at combo 593 means both hands are on schedule.

   

The final stretch and the two result cards

   The final gauntlet crosses F and Space

   Past combo 891 the chart throws its last weapon: magenta beams crossing the F and Space lanes diagonally while a gold hold ring waits under the F lane. Three EXACTs hold in this frame, but this is where NEARs breed — 17 of the FULL LINK run's 19 were LATE. Arrive on the line, not behind it.

   Meet the 1040 watermark with the chain alive

   The note-counter watermark hits 1040 — every note the chart owns has now been faced — and the yellow timing beam meets two final EXACTs at 099'085'560. Zero BREAKs end to end; the chain never died. All that remains on the card is the NEAR column.

   FULL LINK: zero BREAKs, nineteen NEARs

   The banner confirms the clear type: FULL LINK, In Falsus's reward for finishing a chart without a single BREAK. It is one rung below Perfect Dive, and the difference is entirely the NEAR column — nineteen half-value notes accumulated between the first burst and this screen.

   Read the FULL LINK card like a budget

   EX+ at 99'087'505: 967 + 54 EXACT against 19 NEAR and 0 BREAK, MAX LINK 1040, the encounter paid 000'188'769 Connected. The NEAR split is the coaching gold — EARLY 2, LATE 17. This hand's habit on this chart is arriving behind the beat, and nineteen corrections are exactly the distance to the other card below.

   The Perfect Dive card shows what it buys

   flipster's card closes the lesson: PERFECT DIVE at 100'001'027 — 1027 + 13 EXACT, zero NEAR, zero BREAK, MAX LINK 1040, the encounter paid 000'195'935. Converting nineteen NEARs into EXACTs bought about 913'522 dive points and roughly 7'000 extra encounter points. Same chart, same six keys — only the timing discipline moved.
